Artist Steven K. Thompson started his professional career as an artist with the Walt Disney Studio over 10 years ago. He has worked as a clean-up artist on almost every traditionally animated feature at Disney since The Hunchback of Notre Dame, on Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas from DreamWorks Animation, and at DisneyToon studio, among others. Most recently he was hired as a character designer for DisneyToons Cinderella 3, where he was responsible for developing and redesigning Prince Charming.

Steve's work as a character artist has also extended beyond animation. Over the last 3 years he has been employed as a freelance artist for Disney Consumer Products, working on numerous books, DVD and video game covers. However his main job has been creating new art for both the Princess and Tinkerbell lines, as well as setting the standard on how these characters should be drawn via the creation of internal model sheets for use by the entire Walt Disney company.

This experience has allowed Steve to work on a variety of characters and styles, from classics like Mickey and Winnie The Pooh to Kronk in Emperor's New Groove and Maggie from Home on the Range.

In the past year he has also taken on side projects as a freelance photographer for various publications.

He loves dogs, Kylie Minogue and Xanadu.
